Story:
Sienna was tense as she was forced to wait by Evalyn. The mare always became so excited around cows and just wanted to go chase them every which way. Swishing her tail impatiently, she tried to turn towards the gate, but Evalyn was right there to stop her…again.
“Whoa Sienna! You will have get a chance, now relax!”
Sienna seemed to understand what she said because she hung her head low with pinned ears and pouted. Evalyn rolled her eyes and Hunter laughed.
“Having problems?” he grinned.
“This little mare has attitude because I won’t let her play with the cows yet.” Evalyn laughed. Was it just her or did Sienna pin her ears further?
“Haha! Well you will get out there soon enough.” Hunter patted Sienna on the neck. Her ears popped forward and she turned to nuzzle his arm.
“You know, you are the only guy that can touch her. She usually tries to bite their arms off!” Laughed Evalyn.
“Well…maybe that means something…” He said quietly.
Before Evalyn could respond, the announcer called her name. “Got to go!” She trotted Sienna into the arena. As soon as they were ready, Evaly walked Sienna through the cows trying to find which one they would cut. Sienna chose for her, puffing her chest out and snorting at the biggest cow in the group.
“Really? The biggest one? Crazy horse…” A few seconds past. Then, “Chase.” Sienna burst toward the cow on command. It turned and she turned with it, spraying dirt into the air. The cow was separated from the group. It stopped, trying to evaluate the situation which only made it all the more fun for Sienna. Playfully, Sienna knelt slightly and then jumped towards the cow, which did exactly what she wanted: to run to the left. She spun so fast on her hooves and the cow turned the other way. It was all a game for Sienna and she enjoyed every second of it.
Soon it was the end of their turn and Evalyn had to drag her mare out of the arena. Evalyn patted her neck proudly.
“That was unbelievable!” And the way she played with the cows? GENIUS!” Hunter laughed as he walked back up to them. Neither one of them could control their laughter just thinking about Sienna with the cows.
“Oh Sienna!” Evalyn leaned forward and scratched her behind the ears.
